"Walker Sisters Homeplace" Love the history of the Walker family who lived close to the Little Schoolhouse at Metcalf Bottoms in what is now the Great Smoky National Park. The sisters lived a self sufficient life style in an ever-changing world. The springhouse is especially symbolic for me. Great hike, only 2.2 miles round trip
